I have worked with Jeanne Hori-Garcia professionally for 30 years. Jeanne is a tireless advocate for marginalized professions such as early childhood education. As part of the ECE faculty at Hartnell, she worked collaboratively with a wide range of community based agencies and local schools to help advance the professionalism of the field by providing a range of flexible college level options for bilingual and monolingual Spanish speaking ECE students, including teaching at the King City campus.
Jeanne is a respected community leader, including serving on the First 5 Commission and as Past President of the Central Coast Association for the Education of Young Children.
Personally, I know Jeanne will take her role and responsibility as a board member seriously and will work hard to represent
her district and help move Hartnell forward.
